Parking Problem at Lewis

I think the first step in solving this problem is that people need to be honest. How many people have actually paid for their parking and how many have not? Walking back to my car everyday, I look around and can see plenty of cars without parking stickers on them. The other thing I notice is that there are no tickets on the car either. There are a good number of people who are parking without the permit. The school only knows how many people have paid for a permit, they don't know how many haven't. So if the number of commuters has gone up, I'm pretty sure the only way they know is by how many parking permits are registered. So the school doesn't know that they need to put more parking spots in. If thats actually the problem. Personally I've always found a parking spot, but this year everyday I've had to park further away than usual. Its probably a problem that has always existed - people parking without paying for their permit, but it was never this bad which goes to show that as time went on more and more people found out they can park without having to pay and get away with it.

  1. Interesting! Are there really tons of ppl not using hangtags? I hadn't noticed. I'm too worried about getting ticketed or towed!

Next post, be sure to review the nature of the problem in your first couple of lines, okay? It's just a good practice, a habit, to build in some language that says, "Here's what I'm talking about, here."

    Thanks!

  2. I think you made a good point. I agree that being honest is an important aspect in solving the problem. I have seen many cars with no parking permit stickers as well but, I have also seen some of those same cars get ticketed.
